2024 Family Togetherness Week - Growing Hearts of Welcome

I Will Go With My Family: Understanding Diverse Families

Families worldwide face unique challenges due to mass migration, neurodiversity, and various physical, emotional, and psycho-social issues, as well as differences in race, ethnicity, nationality, and language. As Christians, it is essential to approach these realities with love, compassion, and understanding, guided by Jesus Christ's teachings.

John 13:35 emphasizes the importance of love and acceptance, calling Christians to support all families, regardless of their differences. Matthew 25:40 underscores the need to care for the marginalized, highlighting that serving diverse families is serving Christ.

Remain encouraged and faithful.

Family Togetherness Week is scheduled during the first or second week of September (please check with your conference/mission), beginning with Sunday and ending on the following Sabbath with Family Togetherness Day. Family Togetherness Week and Family Togetherness Day highlights celebrating families and the church as a family.
