Full Description

Jesus said, “This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:8 NIV. A journey with Christ results in ‘bearing fruit’ – making disciples. This is the inevitable outcome of such a relationship. In the context of this passage Jesus is referring to Himself as the vine and His followers as the branches. The whole context of this passage seems to centre on an understanding of mission. It is impossible, then, to be a follower of Jesus and not make disciples. Making disciples is therefore not a casual activity His followers engage in once or twice a year. It is an on-going way of living. Jesus invites people into a life of continuous disciple-making. Jesus wants us to produce much fruit.rnIn the coming days, you will find more resource here on sharing your faith and living a life of a disciple that bears much fruit. But there is no need to wait, you can start now. Read more about the Open Home initiative that can prove to be an excellent way to introduce your family, friends, neighbours and colleagues who are from God, to Jesus.rn[image_link url="https://disciple.org.nz/making-disciples/" title="Making Disciples" image_id="925"]
